"sm70- why not Duesenberg?" (sm70-whynotduesenberg)

Apparently this is running around town now. Not my photo, stolen from the local spotters FB page. I’d like to believe the person driving this thing has a sense of humor and has never tried to pass this off as a real Lamborghini for anything more than a prank. Still, I consider myself to be a reasonably funny guy, but not humor nor anything else would cause me to drive this monstrosity, which started out life as a Pontiac Solstice. I guess it’s proof that turning a Pontiac sports car into a high-end Italian sports car will never stop being awful.

I thought C6 Corvette. Carfax isn’t turning up anything.

That would be my guess as well.
I will say this; It’s awful but well done.

That is definitely a car I had never heard of. Not sure how I feel about it.

The classiest thing to do with something like this is to mark it with the original manufacturer’s name, but in lambo script.

Ill never ever understand stuff like this. No one is fooled and youve spent a fortune putting up this facade. The Solstice is a good looking car!

The worst part is they had to ruin a pretty Solstice to make it.

I guess if you look closely at the convertible soft top that gives it away, but that’s also after I read the post and saw it was a Pontiac.

Was the donor car an RX-7?
I could be way off, but I have a feeling in my gut.....like someone punched me there with a picture of this abomination.
Front engined car with a mid engined car kit! Lmao

I was wrong, but I’m relieved that an RX-7 wasn’t sacrificed for this.
